Advanced Facebook – Training

April 18, 2016 By Cat Mooney

Advanced Facebook Marketing & Advertising Seminar

On Friday, 8th April, Studio93 held an Advanced Facebook Marketing & Advertising Seminar in the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone. Our creative director, Darren Doyle, is passionate about marketing and brand development. He believes in creating awareness and educating Irish businesses about the value of digital marketing and advertising. He has personally seen the power and effect of clever marketing techniques on a budget.

Facebook marketing and advertising is extremely cost effective when compared to other marketing media like newspapers, magazines, billboards etc. Most small businesses do not have a large marketing budget. Facebook is a great platform from which to reach your ideal audience.

The Seminar

The seminar ran all day from 10am – 4.30pm with business marketers from various companies. Everyone attending had previously used Facebook as part of his or her business marketing and advertising. Our aim was to demonstrate advanced Facebook marketing techniques to generate leads and sales consistently for their business. Darren gave an overview of the advantages of Facebook marketing and advertising for business. Attendees offered several examples of how they currently are advertising on Facebook. They expressed the results they desired to achieve in the future.

Open & Casual Like Facebook

The seminar had an open and casual style and Darren encouraged a flow of questions and requests. Attendees offered real-life examples of challenges they faced. Darren suggested improvements on technique with tailored ideas.

Every business is different. You will have different long and short-term goals. A little planning goes a long way. Plus, understanding how Facebook works and getting your online etiquette right is crucial.

Ad Design

Darren showed examples of successful ads. He explained in detail why they were successful. He then illustrated how to create a successful ad. He gave hints and tips on how to become more creative on a budget with some free software.

Some of the best ads I’ve seen on Facebook are created without a budget. Yes, you can learn to become creative and strategic.

Targeting & Measuring

Darren demonstrated the power of Facebook paid ads when it comes to targeting. He said you might be very creative and produce a great ad, but if your targeting is off, no one will see it.

He went on to explain how you identify your ideal audience. He visually displayed how to target various audience types depending on your business and your goal.

No one wants to see ads they are not interested in. Facebook paid ads allow you to target precisely an audience who have an interest in what it is you’re offering.

He talked in-depth regarding measuring your ads performance. He showed what to look at when it comes to analysing ad performance.

Yes, you do have to pay to target your ideal audience but unlike other forms of media, you can track what works and what doesn’t.

Wrapping up

It was an exciting, energy packed day. The room was buzzing with free-flowing Q&A’s. Our aim is for you to improve your Facebook advertising techniques. We want to boost small Irish businesses to grow and thrive in this digital age of marketing advertising.
