Search Engines (Google)
Like it or not search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo…… (but mostly Google) have become the gatekeepers to our websites. Some would argue that social media sites likes Facebook have taken a bite out of search traffic to websites and I agree to an extent. However, when it comes to getting your information in front of a highly targeted audience at the precise moment, when they’re looking to buy your products or services , search engines reign supreme. I’ve spoken on the importance of a well designed and implemented website but the reality is that without regular suntanned traffic to that site there’s a good chance it will fail to achieve your business goals.
Think about how you use the internet. Where do you go when you’re looking for a product of service? If you’re in the mood to catch up with friends and shoot the breeze you’ll head for one of the social media sites, Facebook, Snapchat Instagram or whatever but if you’re trying to find that specific product or service then you’ll head for Google.
