Which Social media sites should I be on?
Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the number of social media sites that are out there? We all know that as businesses it’s important to have some kind of a social media presence and a question I get a lot is “which social media site should I be on”? or “should I be on them all”? Now, no one has time to be on all social media sites, we have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and there seems to be a new one every now and again. So the real question that we need to ask ourselves is “where are our customers”? So, who is my customer ? What age are they? What are they like? What are they into? and then match that target customer which one or two of the social media platforms. If we are looking to reach a young demographic then we want to look at social media sites like Instagram and Snapchat but if I am looking to network with out businesses of if I work at a company whop sell mostly B to B products or services then I need to focus on a social media site like Linkedin. So it’s really not about where we should be and more about where our target customers are already.
